The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America is holding its annual plant and gift sale Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 9 a.m.4 p.m. both days. There will be a wide variety of bedding plants, herbs, shrubs, roses, succulents, and more. The gift shop will have lovely garden gifts, food items, books and other treasures. The sale is at the concert hall at Festival Hill, 248 Jaster Road in Round Top. For more information, see herbsocietypioneer.org/ events.

You can be a part of Unlocking the Mysteries of Herb Superpowers at the Pioneer Unit’s annual herbal forum. With expert speakers on topics such as restoring biodiversity to your soil and the healing chemicals of herbs, this daylong forum includes a herbinfused luncheon and demonstrations and interactions with the speakers. It will be held Saturday, March 15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration is required. Find out more at festivalhill. org/events.

Coming up in April enjoy a concert by Robert Earl Keen on April 11, the Gala Concert of the World Shakuhachi Festival on April 19, and “Poetry at Round Top” on April 25.

Round Top Family Library This Saturday, March 8 is a Puzzle Swap. From 1011 a.m. bring your puzzles you’ve completed to swap for new ones.

FYI presents The Red Barn Crows, Louis Sellers and Craig Dinsmore, Sunday, March 16 from 4-6 p.m. at the annex Porch. Come enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day concert on the lawn and be sure to wear your green. Bring your own chair or blanket and snacks.

Ukulele Group lessons will be offered for ages 8 and up on Mondays from 4:305:30 p.m. Registration is required. Email the library at info@ilovetoread.org.

Spring Antique Show 

The Spring Antiques & Design Show opens on March 20 and runs until April 6. Along with the shopping and delicious food you can find during the day, there are also several events held in the evenings.

Here’s a few events scheduled for the first week of the show: Friday, March 21, “Rodeo Runway Presents: How the West Was Won at the 303.” Beginning at 7:30 p.m. check out fashion wear by Worn & Weathered, Double D Ranch, and more.

Saturday night, March 22, come out for Bingo at The Halles benefiting the Washington County Senior Center. Cocktail hour and card pickup begins at 5:30 p.m. Paper-City Deisgner Dinner with Aerin Lauder and Mark Sikes will be at The Halles on Monday, March 24 beginning at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, March 26, head to the Big Red Barn for “Designer Day” with Milieu Magazine from 1 - 5 p.m. Afterwards, there will be an Art Barn Reception featuring Steve Wrubel and Angela Fabbri at The Halles from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and a Red Carpet Runway Fashion Show at the Round Top Dance Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 27 includes a Furniture Collaboration at Blue Hills featuring Nick Mele and Society Social Play Games from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., an Exhibition opening featuring artist Donald Robertson at Red Antler from 6-9 p.m., and the “Dirty Bohemian Vintage Renegades Runway Fashions from the Fields” at Festival Hill beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, March 28 “The Gathering at Round Top” will be at Royer’s Pie Haven beginning at 6 p.m., Electric Avenue Party at Zapp Hall beginning at 7 p.m., Ellis Motel Cosmic Honkey Tonk beginning at 8 p.m., the “Galactic Cowgirl Party’ at Round Top Dance hall from 8 p.m.-12 a.m., and “Pixie and the Moon” Vintage Western Fashion Show at The 303 from 8:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Saturday night, March 29 is the Junk Gypsy Junk-o-Rama Prom beginning at 6 p.m. Several of these events require advance tickets. For additional information or to purchase tickets, visit roundtop.com.

Do Your Duty Club 

The Do Your Duty Club of the Town of Round Top invites you to apply to participate as a vendor at The Square Fair during the Spring 2025 Antiques & Design Show. Please contact the Do Your Duty club at roundtopdyd@gmail.com for more information and to apply.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

A hamburger social is held on the first, second, and third Mondays of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the RTRH.

Save the date for the Rifle Hall’s annual Fish Fry Friday, March 21, enjoy allyou- can-eat fish, served with French fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. Dine-in or takeout. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at Round Top Mercantile, Round Top State Bank.

Hermann Sons Life 

Round Top meeting of Hermann Sons Life was held on Feb 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legon Hall. Linda Mattocks, President, called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Various members reported on other members not present. Linda called for committee reports. Linda’s agent report included her experiences with the zoom meetings. February birthdays included Marilyn Wagner and Ora Lee Levien age 96 on Feb. 17. March birthdays included Wayne Wagner on Feb. 12, Linda Mattocks on Feb. 19, and Ray Ullrich on Feb 29. Happy birthday was sung for all members because there will be no March meeting due to the antique sales at the hall. Attendance prizes were won by Betty Porter, Jeanette Schoenst, Bob Porter, Margie Stardig and Myrt Meinkowsky. Meeting adjourned for delicious lunch with refreshments and fellowship. Next meeting will be April 24 with dinner. Members may bring a side dish or dessert.

Church News 

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m. St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Bethlehem Lutheran (BLC) will not have adult bible study classes in March or April because of Lent services. Lenten services include a 6 p.m. meal, and a 7 p.m. service. March 12 at BLC, March 19 at BLC, March 26 at Waldeck, April 2 at BLC, and April 9 at BLC. Maundy Thursday service on April 17 will be at 5:30 p.m. at St. Paul in Shelby, and at 7 p.m. at BLC. Good Friday service will be April 18 at 7 p.m. at BLC.
