Habitat Fundraiser Aims to Support Teachers, School Staff With Home Repairs
Fayette County Habitat for Humanity will hold a bourbon drawing to help generate funds for their Home Repair Program in Fayette County. The drawing includes thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
All funds raised will directly support Habitat’s Home Repair Program, with this round specifically focused on public school employees including teachers and support staff such as custodial workers and teachers aides.
The reasoning is simple. If we want a strong future for Fayette County, we must invest in the people who are already investing in our children and our community every day.
Many school employees live on modest, fixed incomes. Even when they own their own homes, unexpected repairs such as a failing roof or accessibility needs can quickly become overwhelming. By helping educators and support staff maintain safe, stable housing, Habitat is helping ensure they can continue serving our students without the added burden of housing instability.
Tickets are available for purchase online as well as from Habitat for Humanity board members. Folks can also call (210) 816-0942 for more information and to purchase tickets.
