In an effort to help Kaycee Roesler with her medical bills, several local educators have started a fundraiser in her honor coinciding with teacher appreciation week.

Kaycee is the daughter of Stephanie Jurek. Stephanie served as a School Counselor and Assistant Principal at La Grange Elementary for many years. Stephanie treated staff with kindness, respect, common courtesy, and often went out on a limb to help others. Many, many students benefited from her competence, expertise, and tender-loving care. On some of the darkest days in education, she showed compassion and mercy to so many people. She spent countless hours working overtime in this community, often times, using her personal time to serve our staff, parents, and students.

Now, her daughter, Kaycee, has been suffering from Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. Kaycee has been quite a fighter over the last couple of years. She is determined to continue to live life as best as she can for as long as she can - with an incredibly positive attitude and huge amount of determination.

Unfortunately, the bills continue mounting up as fast as one can imagine.
