Young Farmers Family Night
RT-C Young Farmers annual family night will be Thursday, July 21. All members and their families are invited to enjoy a catered chicken fried steak meal at a cost of $5 per person. The social hour will start at 6:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 7:30 p.m. Anyone is welcome to bring snacks or dessert. A silent auction will be held for the scholarship program. Anyone wishing to donate auction items is asked to please bring them. Annual dues will be accepted at the meeting.
Waldeck Lutheran VBS Waldeck Lutheran Church will have Vacation Bible School July 18-22 from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. The theme is “God’s Wonder Lab.” Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. The closing celebration will be held Friday morning during the regular VBS time with a water slide and ice cream
Classes are available for ages 3-12, but older children willing to serve as helpers would be greatly appreciated. To register, contact Dana Polasek at (979) 966-3862.
Carmine 42 Domino Club
The Carmine 42 Domino Club met on July 6 at JW’s Steakhouse. After eating a wonderful lunch with a complementary dessert, eight games of 42 were played.
The high scoring partners were Jeanette Schoenst and Linda Mattocks with a score of 1753 and they played three hands of 84. Second highest scoring partners were Betty Porter and LaVerne Albers with a score of 1651 and they played two 84 hands. Also playing were Myrt Meinkowsky and Edith Flinn who played one hand of 84. Other players were Carol Naegeli and Marlene Waak who played two hands of 84.
Everyone enjoyed the exciting games and the friendly conversations. These players look forward to the next game day on Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. at JW’s Steakhouse.
Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department regular meeting night is July 28 at 7 p.m.
The burn ban continues to be in effect for Fayette County.
Round Top-Carmine ISD
Round Top-Carmine ISD administration offices both at Carmine and Round Top are open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The first day of classes for the 2022-2023 school year will be Aug. 17.
Casino Night
Casino Night sponsored by the Carmine Chamber of Commerce will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Carmine Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. It will be German themed with an Alpine Band, chicken-fried steak meal, and drinks included.

MLLC News
Bible Study group meets Wednesday from 7 – 8:15 p.m.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.
Worship with Holy Communion observing the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Men in Mission meet Monday at 6 p.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
