Blood Drive 

Everyone is encouraged to contribute blood during the community-wide blood drive on the square this Saturday from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. There is always a need for the gift of life. Chief Randy Noviske reminds citizens to post their 911 address near their driveway so first responders can locate the residence when an emergency occurs.

Song Swap 

The Sunday Song Swap at ARTS was packed with admirers as Darrel Appelt, Phillip Brummett and Mike Stroup swapped sweet tunes.

Farmers Market 

The Fayetteville Farmer’s Market will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the square. For this month only, the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market was moved to the third Saturday to accommodate the City Wide Garage Sale last week. In August, it will move back to the second Saturday. The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. this Saturday. Volunteers will distribute food as clients walk through the line. Everyone needs to bring their own sturdy, clean reusable bags, boxes or plastic tubs. Wagons will be furnished by the food pantry.

Church News 

St. Paul Lutheran was founded in 1894 and plans are underway to celebrate their 130-year anniversary on Sunday, July 28. Everyone is invited to enjoy the service, catered dinner and a slide show highlighting their rich history. It all kicks off with a Shared Lutheran Ministries joint service at 10:30 a.m. led by ELCA Bishop Michael Rinehart and Pastor Jen Kinnsvatter. The meal of baked chicken, ham and fixings will follow worship. A freewill donation is requested.

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 - 9:45 a.m.
