FLHS Annual Golf Tournament Slated May 30

Faith Lutheran High School will hold their Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Friday, May 30 at Frisch Auf! Country Club in La Grange. Shotgun starts at 8 a.m.-1 p.m. For more information on entering a four- person team or to sign up as a sponsor call (979) 242-2889.

Vacation Bible Schools 

Holy Cross in Warda will have VBS June 16-18 from 5:30-8 p.m. St. Paul in Serbin will have VBS June 9-13 from 8:15-11:15 a.m.

Mother’s Day BBQ Chickens The Couples Club at Holy Cross will have their annual BBQ Chickens on Mothers Day, May 11. Chickens are $14 and cups of sauce are $3. Pick-up will be at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.-noon. You can place your order by calling the church office at (979) 2423333, the deadline to order is Monday, May 5.

Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday night Bible study group meets each week at 6:30 p.m. in the family room at Holy Cross Church. For more information about this study, contact Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@ gmail.com.

FLHS The Spring Thing 

Faith Lutheran High School will be presenting “The Spring Thing.” This will be a showcase of the students work in the fine arts department, including vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to join them on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

Ladies at Holy Cross 

The Ladies at Holy Cross invite everyone to join them on Tuesday May 6 at 6 p.m. to hear from Rebecca Bartelt, a LCMS missionary in Taiwan for her presentation on her work as a sacred music educator. Sewing Circle

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, May 15 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group meets at 11:30 a.m. They are studying the book of Galatians.
