Flag Day Proclaimed in Fayette County
Fayette County Judge Joe Weber has proclaimed June 14 as Flag Day in the county. KJZT Family Life Society No. 23 Queen of the Holy Rosary, Hostyn, accepted the proclamation.
The proclamation was signed by Judge Weber on Wednesday, June 8, at the Fayette County Courthouse, alongside several members of KJZT Family Life.
National Flag Day honors the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as our country’s flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. Flag Day is now celebrated across the nation each year on June 14.
For over 125 years, members of KJZT Family Life have focused on participating in parish and community work projects. They hold fundraisers to help those in need and work together to contribute to their hometowns and churches.
