Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series will feature Susan Gibson this Tuesday night on the Fayetteville square from 6-8 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this final performance in the series for March.

City of Fayetteville 

On Wednesday of last week, the piece of equipment stuck in front of the Fayetteville welcome sign off of State Highway 71 for more than a year was finally removed.

Memorial Plaques 

Just a reminder that memorial tile plaques surrounding the sidewalk leading up to City Hall are for sale. The cost is $400. Once submitted, per the engraver, turnaround is 60-90 days. Reach out to the City secretary to make arrangements. Justice of the Peace

Justice of the Peace Jamie Moreau is halfway through her four-year term. “They say time flies when you are having fun,” stated Moreau. “I love working with the public, learning new things and facing challenges head-on, so two years into my four-year term, I would definitely say my time in office has flown by.

While not at all seasoned, I have had enough training and experience to feel prepared and confident in knowing how to handle the more common issues that come through this office. I have a very strong support system and resources to help me with the less common situations that arise.” Look for highlights about her tenure in office in the next column.

Heh Remember When 

Larry Waddell and the Southern Stars are being featured at Heh Remember When Saturday night at 8 p.m. The band offers up traditional country and classic rock. Tom Bull plays drums, Larry Waddell sings and plays guitar, Tim Kulhanek is on keyboards and sings, Walter Krchnak plays bass guitar and John Williford is on lead guitar.

Pool Tournament 

A biweekly pool tournament being held by Triple C Bar and Grill kicks off Sunday at 12:30 p.m. The bar occupies the space formerly held by 159 Junction. Check out their Facebook page.

Antiques 

Antiques off the Square at the SPJST Hall is showcasing multiple vendors offering vintage finds from 9 a.m. till 8 p.m. through March 25. Despite the name, check out their Facebook page: https://www. facebook.com/@antiquesonthesquaretx.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
