Feed the Need has continued to be present in the La Grange community every Monday on the square of the Fayette County Courthouse serving people both physically and spiritually. A recent Monday we enjoyed partnering with Chick-Fil-A for a little something different to eat. Chick-Fil-A graciously came with their new 32 ft. food truck and cooked hot/fresh chicken sandwiches for us to serve – 311 of them to be exact, and all free.

Chick-Fil-A is starting a new food truck venture and will soon be present in La Grange every Tuesday operating out of the Sutherlands parking lot.

The ability to cook on site opens up their menu options to include sandwiches, waffle fries and more. Chick-Fil-A provided all the chicken sandwiches for volunteers and guests of Feed the Need to create awareness and join in serving the community

Feed the Need missions is based on everyone being welcome to join every Monday for food, prayer, and fellowship (real authentic Christian community). The model is simple yet impactful for everyone that comes by. The group meets at 5:30 p.m. to cook and prep the meal, join in a devotional/prayer time at 6:10 p.m., and serve hamburgers and hot dogs for free from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in an effort to get to know each other and present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Chick-Fil-A believes in what we are doing and wanted to join in the fun, and you are invited to come out and have a burger as well. A big thank you to Chick-Fil-A for their generous gift. We look forward to seeing their food truck in La Grange soon. And we look forward to seeing you at Feed the Need LG on the square any Monday evening,” said local Feed the Need coordinator Jeremy Finch.
