February Proclaimed Black History Month

At the City Council meeting this Monday, La Grange Mayor Jan Dockery (right) signed a proclamation designating the month of February as Black History Month in La Grange. The proclamation urged citizens to “join together in making this a period of rededication to the principles of justice and equality for all people.” On hand for the signing were members of the La Grange Juneteenth Committee (from left) Jonathan Ellis and Walter Culberson.
