Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Lee Manning as the new Public Initiatives Program Director. Jamie, a local resident of Fayette County and sixth-generation Texan, brings with her over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, community planning, and social change organizations.

Jamie received her degree in Community Planning and Nonprofit Management from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she honed her leadership skills and innovative problem-solving abilities. She has spent the majority of her career working with national education nonprofits, focusing on hands-on projectbased learning to keep underserved students on track and prepared for high school and beyond.

In 2017, Jamie took a hiatus from her professional career to care for her mother who was diagnosed with a progressive brain disease. This experience further fueled her passion for nonprofit work and her dedication to creating a fair and just society for all.

As FCF’s Public Initiatives Program Director, Jamie will be responsible for supporting FCF’s public initiative work at the local community level throughout the Foundation’s rural service area. She will be the Foundation’s point of contact for external public initiatives, creating collaborations, connecting organizations to funding opportunities, building capacity in organizational leadership, and supporting program innovations in public health equity.

When asked about her new role, Jamie said, “I look forward to working with communities to provide resources and tools to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.”

In addition to her work at FCF, Jamie is also a Texas Master Naturalist and is dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas for the State of Texas. She is a connected Fayette County community volunteer, serving with four local nonprofit organizations. In her free time, Jamie enjoys exploring nature, music, photography, and the healing arts. She also has a goal to visit all the National Parks, with 23 more to go.

The Fayette Community Foundation is thrilled to have Jamie on board and looks forward to the positive impact she will have on the community.
