Fayetteville’s Country Christmas Set Dec. 10

Make plans to join in some festive fun at our annual Country Christmas on Saturday, December 10. The event, held by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber, includes the Tour of Homes (including a tour of FISD’s historic Red Building thrown in as a bonus) runs from 12 until 4 p.m.
Get your tickets to see the decked out homes at Fayetteville Bank. Shops will be open by 11 a.m. Santa will be in the old fire station from 4-8 p.m. The community choir will sing on the square beginning at 5 p.m. Join in the Lighted Parade with your boat, bike, 4-wheeler, antique car or just yourself. Line up at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Fayette Hotel.
Look for movies on the square, special treats from our local shops and a lot more. Plan on bringing your friends and family for a very special holiday celebration all day and into the evening. More information is available on the website: https:// www.greaterfayettevillechamber. org..
Dump Closed Friday
The Trash and Recycling Center (a.k.a the Dump) will be closed this Friday.
FISD
Christmas Dress-Up Days are making their appearance at FISD. All are invited to dress up at school from December 1 through December 20. Each week has a different theme. Next week, pajamas are required for a Merry Merry Morning.

ARTS
ARTS Holiday Show will kick off their 20-year anniversary with a celebration of creativity. The artwork for the holiday show will be on display at the ARTS Gorman Gallery in Schulenburg from Dec. 3 to Jan. 21 and at the ARTS Ross Gallery in Fayetteville from Dec. 10 to Jan. 7, with a holiday potluck reception at Ross Gallery from 4-6 p.m. on Dec. 10.

Holiday Hayride
John and Patty Wells are pulling out all the stops again for their tractor-driven hayrides for groups, kids and adults at their 22-acre farm in Willow Springs. Enjoy a tour of Christmas lights and holiday scenes throughout the property beginning the first weekend in December.
The ride, which lasts about 15-20 minutes, is on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 6 p.m. Children must be accompanied by parents. No charge. Reservations only. Call Patty for more details and to make a reservation at (713) 8750755. Celebrations
