Fayetteville Water Gets Back-Up Plan
The newly installed water plant generator is online. It is set to start automatically if electric power to the water plant is interrupted.

Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department Fire and EMS Call Report for July: July 5, Mutual aid assist Ellinger VFD and La Grange VFD at an oil tank fire on Zapalac Rd. at St. Hwy 71; July 6, First responder call assist Medic 2 on Sykora Rd. at Coufal Rd.; July 20, First responder call assist Medic 2 and EMS 3 on N. FM 1291 at Halamicek Loop; July 29, Grass fire on FM 954 at FM 389.
When conducting control burns, residents are reminded by Chief Randy Noviske to always check the weather and report the location to dispatch at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at (979) 968-5856.
Hunter Safety
“The Hunter Safety Class at FISD was a big hit,” stated Justice of the Peace Jamie Moreau. “We had 36 students of all ages. Shawn Bayless, Game Warden, and Colby Havel, DPS, assisted the instructor, Bob Gulash from LCRA. Classes were held in the classroom and out in the field. Fred Roberts and I are thrilled that so many were able to attend and we thank FISD again for hosting.”
Live Music
Join musicians Mason Dykowski, Alvin Minarcik, Franklin Hruska, and Josh Gertson (aka the Airplane Band) for some country, rock, blues, Czech, German, and Cajun tunes this Saturday. from 8 - 11 p.m. at Heh Remember When. Heh Remember When is located at 3031 N. FM 1291 in Fayetteville.
Food Pantry
The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at St. John on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Clients walk up to the entrance and are asked to bring bags or carts for pickup. Volunteers are welcome.
Church News
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 - 9:45 a.m.
