Fayetteville Restrooms to Be Renovated
The next meeting of the City Council is this Monday at 7 p.m. in the City offices.
The public restrooms on the square are closed for renovations during the month of April. Temporary portable restrooms are available.
Please note that all dogs must be leashed or confined by a fence in compliance with the City of Fayetteville’s leash ordinance. Dogs must be kept on a leash on all City property. This includes city streets, the road to the cemetery and the cemetery property.
Fayetteville Bank
Congratulations to Fayetteville Bank employees, Assistant Cashier Sally Kulhanek, who recently celebrated 20 years of service, and Assistant Vice President Donna Ross, who celebrated six years.
Shrimp Boil
Mark your calendars to attend the Annual Fayetteville/ Ellinger KC Shrimp Boil on Friday, May 17, under the pavilion at St. John’s. The date in last week’s issue was incorrect. Enjoy shrimp and all the fixin’s, ice cold beer, live music, a silent auction and much more. It kicks off with Happy Hour at 6:30 p.m.

Chamber
The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce has airtime on radio station KULM (98.3 FM) on Wednesdays at 8:50 a.m. to feature Chamber business members and upcoming Fayetteville events.
ARTS
ARTS is excited to announce the continuation of the Spectrum Lecture Series with “Why Shakespeare?” by “Doc” James Ayres. Dr. Ayres will share the genesis and history behind the Shakespeare at Winedale program. The lecture will be held this Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at the ARTS Ross Gallery. The event is free.

A group of bluegrass enthusiasts are pickin’ again this Saturday in the square. All levels of pickers are welcome to continue the tradition of live, acoustic bluegrass jamming. Play begins between 2-3 p.m.
Food Pantry
The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Volunteers will distribute food as clients walk through the line. Everyone needs to bring their own sturdy, clean reusable bags, boxes or plastic tubs. Wagons will be furnished by the food pantry.
New Catholics
At the recent Easter Vigil, St. John and St. Mary parishes welcomed five wonderful individuals into the Catholic Church. One received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion, while the other four received the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion. It was a beautiful Mass.
Church News
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9-9:45 a.m.
