Picking Park
A talented group of bluegrass musicians are picking and singing at Picking Park on the square this Saturday. Enjoy this lively group on the second Saturday of each month from January through November. The music flows from 2 p.m. until everyone’s ready to hang it up.
Farmer’s Market
The Fayetteville Farmer’s Market is also this Saturday from 9 a.m. - noon on the square. Join in supporting all the hard-working vendors every second Saturday of the month. Spread the word and keep the community spirit alive. For more information, text Sydni Alberthal at (979) 250-3353.
City Council
The next City Council meeting is this Monday at 7 p.m. in the City offices. City Council meetings are held every third Monday of the month. All are welcome to attend.

Many congratulations to Fayetteville residents Kathy Sauer and Emil Knodel, Fayette County Fair Best of Department Winners. Knodel won Best of the Photography Department in the “70 and above” category for his work, “Pedal Steele.” Sauer won Best of the Fine Arts Department for her work “Longhorn Cow and Calf” in the same category.
Live Portrait Exhibit
Check out all the festivities going on this Saturday. ARTS has partnered with the Fayette County Community Theatre to bring the upcoming portrait exhibition to life with a live Reader’s Theater performance of Oscar Wilde’s classic gothic novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray.“ This is an amazing, infamous story of a young man who purchases eternal youth at the expense of his soul.
Doors open this Saturday at 6 p.m. for a wine and cheese reception followed by the performance at ARTS Ross Gallery. St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Fayetteville Brethren
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
