On Election Day, Nov 5, the Fayetteville Lions Club will hold their annual Spaghetti Supper benefiting FISD scholarships. Drive through or in-house service takes place at the old firehouse on the square from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

You can support our youth by purchasing tickets for the supper from any Fayetteville Lions Club member or pick them up at Orsak’s, the Fayetteville Bank, Fayetteville Store, Prohibition Liquor, or Circle C General Store. Tickets are $15 for a generous portion of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and a dinner roll.

City of Fayetteville

The City of Fayetteville wishes to thank everyone that joined them in the community discussion on the stray and feral cat problem in Fayetteville. Denise Winters, Director for Pecan Creek Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Executive Director Teresa Stanley-Brown of the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter recommended adopting a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program.

The speakers stressed that if residents do feed the cats, which is not recommended, that they should do so exclusively on their property. Food should not be placed at any other location. The program is pending approval from City Council.

The FY 2024-2025 Tax Rate and Revenue Notice has been posted on the City’s website: https://www.fayetteville. texas.gov/. Go to Government, Financial Transparency, Budget and Financials and Budgets.

On Oct. 19, the City announced a boil water advisory was in effect as the result of a major leak at the water tower.
