Fish Printing

Artist Dinah Bowman, America’s foremost Nature Print Artist, has worked in Gyotaku, or fish printing, for more than 50 years. She travels with research vessels and records fish in this ancient Japanese art form. Discover her fish prints and botanicals at ARTS Gorman Gallery from May 20 until July 7.

FISD Art

Jamie Moreau and Deb Rowland helped bring a fun, unique FISD art project to fruition involving a pretty familiar sight in our community. FISD graduating seniors and kindergarteners painted the large cement pigs featured on either side of Roger and Deb Rowland’s driveway on N. Rusk This classic Fayetteville décor gets an updated look, based on the season and local happenings. This is a first for these graduating classes, and hopefully we’ve begun a tradition.

Graduate Mass

A Graduate Mass was held last Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Father Steve blessed the 2023 graduates as they enter into a new season of their lives, remembering their faith and the need to spread the Gospel in all they say and do. A Pentecost potluck celebrating the birthday of the Church and welcoming new members will be held this Sunday.
