    Fayetteville EDC to Meet Wednesday

The Fayetteville Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 9. All are all welcome to attend. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month beginning at 7 p.m. Discover more about the FEDC on the website for the City of Fayetteville: https:// www.fayetteville.texas.gov.

Local News 

Last week, Jesse Davidson, a sex offender, was on the loose in the vicinity of FM 1291 and the Halamicek Loop and is now in custody, thanks to the U.S. Marshalls, Fayette County deputies, DPS troopers, aircraft from the Texas Parks and Wildlife, TDC tracking dogs, mounted units and the Austin County Regional SRT team.

Lion’s Club Meeting 

Gary Pior, retired senior special agent for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, enlightened Lion’s Club lunch attendees on his highstakes cases with drug cartels and royals over a 20-plus year period.

Fayetteville Chamber 

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce created rack cards that have been distributed in welcome centers throughout Texas.

Song Swap 

Mike Stroup will share the stage at the upcoming Song Swap with musician Season Ammons at ARTS this Sunday from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.Ammons is an award-winning, Texas-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter who blends country, soul, blues and pop influences into her songs.

Join in the Song Swap on the first Sunday of every month at the same time. Tip opportunities are available for the musicians and for support of ARTS. Some beverages are available or BYOB. The admission is free of charge.

Airplane Band 

Join the Airplane Band musicians Mason Dykowski, Alvin Minarcik, Franklin Hruska, and Josh Gertson for some country, rock, blues, Czech, German, and Cajun tunes this Saturday from 7:30 - 11 p.m. at Heh Remember When.

Mobile Food Pantry 

The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at St. John on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 10 - 11 a.m. All are asked to walk up to the entrance and bring bags or carts for pickup.

St. Paul 

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John 

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary 

St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
