The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is holding a festive holiday experience for everyone at their Annual Country Christmas, Lighted Parade and Home Tour event. It all kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Country Christmas schedule: • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. - Christmas Market: local shops decked out and offering all kinds of goodies and over 20 craft and food vendors in the square

• 12-5 p.m. - Enjoy the Home Tour - five homes (purchase tickets for $20)

• 4-6 p.m. - ARTS Community Art Show and announcement of coloring contest winners

• 4-8:30 p.m. - Annual Christmas Tree Display with Santa

• 4:30 p.m. - The Bell Choir of St. Paul Lutheran Church will perform in front of the courthouse

• 5:30 p.m. - All parade participants line up on Washington St. between the Grand Fayette Hotel and Orsak’s

• 6 p.m. - Lighted Parade led by Santa

Meetings Cancelled 

City Council and Fayetteville Economic Development Corporation meetings for December are cancelled.

Deputy Santa Collection As part of the Deputy Santa program, the office staff of the Justice of the Peace in our square is collecting unwrapped Christmas presents for kids ages 0 to 12. Feel free to donate toys, monetary contributions or a Visa card (used to purchase more needed gifts). Donations are accepted up until Friday, Dec. 13. Call their office at (979) 378-2573 with any questions.

All businesses and residents located within Fayetteville city limits are welcome to deck their halls to participate in the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce Annual Outdoor Christmas Decorating Contest.

Judging will take place on Friday, Dec 13. First, second and third places will be awarded. For any questions, contact the chamber: countrychristmas@ greaterfayettevillechamber. org. or call/text (979) 378-2800.

No Farmer’s Market 

There will not be a Fayetteville Farmer’s Market in December. Just a reminder, this is a come one, come all event and is completely selforganized. It will move from the town square to the lawn next to the parking area in front of the City offices.

The date has changed to the third Saturday of the month. The time is the same, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Many thanks to Sydni Alberthal who founded this flourishing market of local craftsperson’s, gardeners and bakers. As always, everyone is welcome to sell and shop.

Mobile Food Pantry 

The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at St. John on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 10 - 11 a.m. Walk up to the entrance and bring bags or carts for pickup.

St. Paul Lutheran 

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
