Lots of hard work and a great deal of ingenuity went into decorating the trees at the Fayetteville Christmas Tree Display. Congratulations to the following winning entries.

Offices for the City of Fayetteville will be closed at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and all day Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. The City dump will be closed on Dec. 31.
The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. and the next FEDC meeting is scheduled for Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
All Fayetteville citizens may vote in the next City of Fayetteville General Election to be held May 3, 2025. With the positions of mayor and two city council seats up for election, interested and qualified Fayetteville citizens may submit an application. City Council members with terms expiring include Cade Burks and Kelly Brooks.
The first day to submit an application on the ballot for these spots is Jan. 15 and the last day is Feb. 14. This is posted on the city website.
After serving on the City Council for seven months, Debbie Lincke and Allen Jurecka were asked about their experiences. “The impact we have, no matter how small, shapes the future of our city,” stated Lincke. “I’ve seen the power of this community. I’m committed to continuing to listen, learn, and lead with integrity for a better tomorrow.”
“I didn’t anticipate as much to be going on for a town this size,” stated Jurecka. “It’s been a great experience. I encourage more attendance. It’s great information for us when citizens speak up about any concerns.”
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
Fayetteville Brethren
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
St. Paul Lutheran
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
