Fayetteville Alive With the Christmas Spirit
City Council
The Fayetteville City Council meets at 7 p.m. next Monday, Dec 18 at the City offices. City Council meetings are held every third Monday. The mayor asks that everyone consider shopping the Fayetteville square for Christmas and wishes to thank the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce for all the success with Country Christmas.
Country Christmas
The weather for The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce Country Christmas turned out to be outstanding. Many thanks to the volunteers, sponsors and to all that attended the home tour, the parade, Santa and enjoyed our shops and restaurants.
Deputy Santa
The last day to drop off gifts for Deputy Santa in our JP’s office located in the square at 109 North Washington is Monday, Dec 18. The office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Gifts should not be wrapped and are for children aged up to 12 years old. If you have any questions, call (979) 378-2573 or the Fayette County Sheriff’s office.

FISD students are out for the holidays on Friday, Dec 15.
Lake Fayette

Church Services
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
St. Martin Catholic Church in Round Top will hold mass on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 8 a.m.
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9-9:45 a.m.
