The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, March 20 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $8.

This month the opry will feature David Lewis, Steven Kidwell, and Missy Brown.

Country roots run deep with David Lewis after being raised in the small town of Bellville. He has an old soul for the legends like Merle Haggard and George Jones. David’s shows combine his lead guitar skills and high energy performance that leave fans remembering how country music makes them feel. Over the years, David has toured around Texas playing at fairs, dance halls, festivals, and Oprys. He released his album “Country Music Therapy” back in 2019, and just released his new single “Hard To Hold A Bottle” March 10.

Steven Kidwell started his music career at an early age. He was eight when he stepped on his first professional stage, with his mentor and superstar, Charlie Daniels. Before the performance to a sold out show, Steven received his first piece of professional advice.

Charlie asked “Steven, are you scared boy?” to which Steven replied, “yes sir.” Charlie Daniels then said “good, if there is ever a time that you step onstage and ya aren’t nervous, then you are doing it all wrong.”

Steven has written, composed and recorded three albums, his fourth and latest album, “Memories And Milestones” has been hailed as one of the best albums to come out of Nashville in the last 10 years. It has many facets combining true country, southern Rock, and blues. His producers are Adam Knight and Christopher Latham, both are powerhouse producers in the Nashville area. Steven brought the music and his producers gave the album its soul by bringing in the top musicians in Nashville. To get the perfect sound, both bands used are well known by name alone, Reba McEntire’s band and George Straits, Ace In The Hole Band, as well as guitar by Vince Gill to round out the sound. In addition, he has won five Gold and Five Platinum Disc Awards in the past two years.

Missy Brown has been performing since she was eight years old. She has had the opportunity to perform in Nashville, Las Vegas and the Houston and surrounding areas. She was introduced to classic country at an early age but has enough versatility to perform many music genres. “I just love good music, but classic country will always be my favorite!” She currently sings back up for the Alvin Opry, The Sugarland Opry and The Pearland Opry. It doesn’t matter if she’s performing for two people or the 65 thousand. She once sang the National Anthem for at NRG stadium. She gives her best every time she hits the stage. La Grange Opry show is quickly becoming a favorite!

So be sure to be with the Fayette County Country Music Club on Monday, March 20 for this great line of entertainment.
