On Friday, June 9, Frisch Auf! Country Club hosted the 2023 Fayette County Leadership Program graduation ceremony, put on by the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce. The program was started by the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce in 1995 as a way to prepare members of various organizations within the community to become the leaders of tomorrow, and to serve Fayette County in a greater capacity.
“We trust that these leaders will go on to not only apply the lessons learned in their own spheres of influence and businesses, but that they will also impart their knowledge to others to build our county’s human capital for the benefit of all,” said Deokie Ramlochan-Ramjohn, a chair of the Chamber of Commerce, in her opening remarks at the ceremony.
The program is a yearlong training series that begins with a group retreat, followed by several classes that cover topics ranging from tourism to government. This year’s graduation recognized 15 graduates who completed all the required classes and steps to graduate from the program.
