Fayette Community Foundation Gives Grant to Camp Shakespeare
On Tuesday, May 10, the Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) administered a $2,316 designated grant to local nonprofit, Camp Shakespeare at Winedale.
Camp Shakespeare is a two-week University of Texas residential summer camp for young people, ages 11-17, dedicated to exploring Shakespeare through performance. Since its inception in 2000, Camp Shakespeare has been both a lively, creative force in transforming young lives and a cherished experience for audiences from Fayette County and beyond.
Funds from this designated grant will go directly to public performances of “As You Like It” and “Macbeth” at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center on June 25 and July 16, respectively.
The mission of Fayette Community Foundation is to build stronger, safer, and more vibrant communities by providing a bridge that connects caring philanthropists to those in need.
Building upon its two-decade history, FCF has recently implemented the “Donor Response Program” to deepen its work alongside organizations, leaders, and donors alike to step up to local challenges and improve the quality of life throughout the region. FCF works with generous community members year-round to offer several types of funds that directly support charitable nonprofit organizations serving an 80-mile radius from La Grange, TX.
Donors wishing to establish a Donor Advised Fund or Designated Fund ensure direct gifts are administered to a specific agency or purpose of their choosing.
