Father Eddie Winkler Celebrates 40 Years as a Priest

Hundreds of well-wishers packed the Hostyn Parish Hall, inside and out Sunday evening, for a party and meal celebrating the 40th anniversary of the ordination into the priesthood of Father Eddie Winkler. He is shown above, in white, along with several area priests who came to the celebration. Bishop Brendan Cahill arrived before the party ended as well. Winkler is currently the priest of the Hostyn and Plum parishes, but has also served in Flatonia and Cistern among other places, and he is a Schulenburg native.
