Faith Lutheran Hosting Good Friday Bake Sale
Faith Lutheran High School will be hosting their Annual Good Friday Bake Sale on April 18 at the Classic Bank parking lot in Giddings. Lots of fabulous items will be available starting at 8 a.m. till noon (or until sold out.)
Donations of baked goods are appreciated and can be dropped off in advance at the high school on April 16, 17, at Medack and Oltmann in Giddings or call (979) 242-2889 to make other arrangements.
Mother’s Day BBQ Chickens
The Couples Club at Holy Cross will have their annual BBQ Chickens on Mothers Day, May 11. Chickens are $14 and cups of sauce are $3. Pick-up will be at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
You can place your order by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333, the deadline to order is Monday, May 5.
Warda Farm Bureau Meeting
The Warda Local Farm Bureau will have its April 17 meeting at 7 p.m. at 610 Giese Lane. Snacks are welcome, drinks will be provided.
Knox Scholarship Fund
Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund raffle tickets are now on sale. They will be raffling off two halves of an Angus/Wagyu calf, including processing. Only 100 tickets will be sold and two tickets will be drawn. Tickets are $100 each.
Proceeds benefit the Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund and will be used to pay tuition for an incoming Faith Lutheran High School student.
Drawing will be held April 27 with processing for the calf set for the end of May. Contact the church office for tickets at (979) 242-3333.
Applications are now being accepted for an academicbased scholarship from the Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial rial Scholarship Fund. This fund will pay for the full tuition for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2025.
Applications are due May 1. 2025 and are available from FLHS or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.
Tejas Camp
Tejas Camp and Retreat Center is hosting a Serve Day on April 12. This is an opportunity to be a part of their mission by giving a few hours of your time. Visit their website to sign up.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Faith Lutheran High School
Faith Lutheran High School will be presenting “The Spring Thing.” This will be a showcase of the students work in the fine arts department, including vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to join them on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

The school had a very successful accreditation visit on March 30 - April 1. God continues to bestow His blessings on FLHS.
Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, April 17 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday School follows the morning service.
The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group meets at 11:30. They are studying the book of Galatians.
