Faith Lutheran to Host Cross Country Meet

Faith Lutheran High School will host the 4th Annual Private Schools of Central Texas Cross Country Meet on Friday, Nov. 4 for students K-8 Grade. The first race will begin at 2 p.m.
Holy Cross Couples Club The Holy Cross Lutheran Church Couples Club will have their annual fried chicken dinner on Sunday, Nov. 20. This will be drive through only from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. Tickets are $12 each and are available in the church office or at the La Grange Chevron. Deadline to get tickets is Monday, Nov. 14.
Along with the Couples Club Fried Chicken Dinner on Nov. 20, Faith Lutheran High School will have a Pie Sale. All pies are a generous 10-inch size and deep-dish. Pre-orders only. Pecan pies are $30 each and pumpkin pies are $20 each. To order call FLHS at (979) 2422889 or email Ann Bamsch at annbamsch226@gmail.com. You can also call the church office at (979) 242-3333. The deadline to order pies is Monday, Nov. 14.
Situational Awareness Class Officer Tammy Jo Mc-Cleney will be in Warda on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 2-5 p.m. teaching her popular “Situational Awareness” Class. This class has been a huge hit everywhere she teaches it, both men and woman can benefit from learning what to look out for, what to be aware of and how to limit your chances of being a victim of crime. The Outreach Group at Holy Cross is sponsoring this class in the church fellowship hall. There is no charge to attend and light refreshments will be served. The fellowship hall is located at 600 FM 1482. You can call the church office if you have any questions at (979) 2423333. Get the word out to your friends, neighbors and family, especially as crime tends to increase around the Holidays. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Trunk or Treat There will be a Trunk or Treat on Monday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Serbin picnic grounds. The St. Paul Lutheran cheerleaders will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Instrumentalists Wanted Holy Cross Lutheran in Warda is planning for their 150 year Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, April 23, 2023 and are looking for instrumentalists to participate in the celebration. If you are interested, please contact the church office at (979) 242-3333.
Holy Cross Bible Study The Bible Study Group at Holy Cross Lutheran in Warda meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in attending contact Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.
Recycle Trailer The recycle trailer is in Warda at the storage units and the local Trail Life Group collects aluminum cans at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. There is a wire bin at the picnic grounds for you to put your cans in, the boys greatly appreciate your support. The money they collect from the cans goes towards projects.
Holy Cross Services Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
Reformation Sunday will be observed at the worship service on Oct. 30.

Everyone is invited to join in the weekly Chapel Worship Service every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The archery team has been hard at work the last two months and will have their first competition in Tomball this week. Basketball season will also begin for the Faith Falcons this week.
