Faith Lutheran High Seeks Recyclable Items for Camp

Faith Lutheran High School camp leaders are seeking donations of recyclable items forArt and STEM camp. You may drop off items at the high school or call (979) 2422889 to have them picked up. Items needed are: paper towel roll tubes, cardboard-big boxes and cereal boxes -both thick and thin cardboard, newspaper, plastic bags, soda bottlesall sizes and paper (cardstock, construction, printer etc.)

Pork Steak Dinner 

St. Paul Lutheran Adult Fellowship in Serbin is having a barbecue pork steak dinner on Sunday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Serbin Picnic Grounds. Only advance plates will be sold for $15 and all are to-go. If you would like to purchase tickets, contact the church office at (979) 366-9650.

Area Vacation Bible School 

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. The following are a few in our area.

Holy Cross in Warda: June 17-19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each evening. “The Great Escape” is the theme this year. A light meal will be provided at 5:30 p.m. Ages are for 4 years old through 5th grade. Register at: www.holycrosswarda.com. St. Paul in Serbin: June 10-14 from 8:15-11:15 a.m. each morning. “Celebrate the Savior” is the theme this year. No meal is served. TWHS Scholarship 

The Texas Wendish Heritage Society Scholarship Program is now open. This scholarship program is available to students of Wendish heritage. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school for Fall 2024 semester. Applications are available online at texaswendish.org and must be submitted digitally by 5 p.m. Friday July 12. Bluff Creek Ranch

Scholarship Fund 

The Amanda Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund is holding two Spring raffles. The first is for an Ultimate Hill Country Experience for two people. Tickets for this raffle are limited and will sell for $100 each. One winner will be drawn. The second drawing will include 12 items for 12 winners. These tickets will sell for $20 each. Tickets for both raffles are on sale now, with drawings held on May 27 and June 9. All monies raised will go toward a full scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman at Faith Lutheran High School. Tickets can be purchased from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church office and raffle details can be found on the Amanda Knox Memorial Scholarship Facebook page.

Game Day at Holy Cross 

The next Game Day at Holy Cross will be held Thursday June 20 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo, dominoes and board games are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The midweek morning Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
