Faith Lutheran High School to Host “The Spring Thing” Fine Arts Showcase May 6
Faith Lutheran High School will present “The Spring Thing”, on Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. This will be a showcase of the students’ work in fine arts, including vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to attend.
Mother’s Day BBQ Chicken
The Couples Club at Holy Cross will have their Annual BBQ Chickens on Mother’s Day, May 10. Chickens are $15, cups of sauce are $3. Pick up is at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10 a.m.-noon. Sign up by Monday, May 4 by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333.
Golf “Fore” Education
Friday May 29 FLHS will host the Golf “Fore” Education Tournament. There will be an 8 a.m./1 p.m. shotgun start. This annual tournament benefiting Faith is perfect for every level of player. 4-man teams are $100/person, including golf cart and lunch. Many prizes will be awarded. They are also seeking gold, silver, and platinum sponsors by May 14. Contact the school for sponsorship and player registration.
Family Fun Night
Camp Lone Star in La-Grange offers a free Family Fun Night on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This includes dinner, camp activities, and a devotional.
Summer Camp Registration
Camp Lone Star in La Grange Summer Camp registration for campers age 5-18 is open. The Camp will also have a work weekend May 15-17, as they prepare to welcome over 2000 campers. Kids and adults are welcome to the work weekend, to help with some projects and enjoy a few fun camp activities. Register at

Warda Race Championship
Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda will have the TMBRA Warda Race Championship Series on May 17. For more information go to

Memorial Day Weekend
Tejas Camp and Retreat Center invited you to spend Memorial Day Weekend with them. From May 22-25 they will offer fun activities for all ages, meals, rest, play and recharge. Spaces are limited, reserve by visiting

Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.
Game Day at Holy Cross
The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday May 21 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
Little Free Library
There is a Little Free Library located in the covered breezeway area of the fellowship hall at Holy Cross Church. Books for adults and children are available as well as puzzles.
Holy Cross Services
Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
