Faith Lutheran High Holding Chicken Spaghetti Casserole Fundraiser

Faith Lutheran High School will be having a chicken spaghetti casserole fundraiser on Monday, April 15. Pick up will be from 5-6 p.m. and is preorder only. There are four pick-up locations for your convenience. Serbin at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Giddings at First National Bank drive-through parking lot. Warda at Faith High School and La Grange at Lukas Bakery parking lot. An 8x8 casserole is $20 and a 9x13 casserole is $35. Orders can by placed by calling (979) 242-2889 or email kueckj@FLHSTX.org. Orders need to be placed by Monday, April 8.

Good Friday Bake Sale 

The Faith Lutheran High School Annual Good Friday Bake Sale is March 29 at the Classic Bank parking lot in Giddings. Cookies, pies, cakes, kolaches, cinnamon rolls, homemade noodles, bread and more will be available from 8 a.m. until sold out.

Scholarship Fundraiser Serbin 4-H will have their annual Fried Chicken Scholarship Fundraiser on Sunday, April 7 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Serbin picnic grounds. Tickets are $15. Contact the church office to purchase tickets (979) 366-9650.

Warda Bunch Show Fund The Warda Bunch Show Fund (supporters of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show exhibitors) will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 13. BBQ pork butts will be sold by the piece. Each piece will be approximately 2.5-4 lbs. for $10.50/ lb. Cups of sauce will be available for $3 each. Order by the number of pieces you would like (not by the pound). Call the church office at (979) 2423333 to place your order by April 3. Pick up will be at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds from 4-6 p.m.

Applications Being Accepted St. Paul Lutheran School in Serbin is now accepting applications for new families who wish to enroll for the first time for the 2024-2025 school year. Contact the school at (979) 366-2218 for more information. Bluff Creek Ranch

Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda has bike riding trails that are open every day from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. They also offer primitive camping spots. May 19 is the Warda Race all day. Mother/Daughter Weekend Tejas Camp and Retreat Center will be hosting their Mother and Daughter Weekend Getaway on April 5-7. This is a great opportunity for mothers and daughters (ages 8-18) to build on their relationship while creating great memories to last a lifetime. Serve Day at Camp Tejas Tejas is having a Serve Day on Saturday April 6. This is an opportunity for the community to come out and assist the camp with some projects. There are projects for all skill levels and meals are included. Contact the camp for more information.

Knox Memorial Scholarship Applications are now being accepted for The Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship. This is a four year academic based scholarship for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2024. Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross will be held Thursday April 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo, dominoes and board games are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Wednesday night Bible Study at Holy Cross Lutheran is taking a break during Lent and will resumeApril 3 at 6:30 p.m. This covers the book of 2nd Samuel, which discusses the reign of David.
