Faith Lutheran High Christmas Concert Dec. 10

Faith Lutheran High School students will present a Christmas concert, “Faith at Christmas” on Tuesday Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at FLHS.

The program will include a collection of choir pieces, handbells, hymns, scripture readings and more. Refreshments will be served following the program and everyone is invited to join this festive event. It will also be streamed live on Facebook, for those who would prefer to view from home.

Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday Night Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda continues their weekly study at 6:30 p.m. in the family room. This is a study on 1 and 2 Kings. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in participating, please contact Cyndy Zoch to receive a study guide. Her contact email is: cyndy.zoch@gmail.com Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from noon-2 p.m. This is a date change from the usual schedule, just for this month. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Trail Life Group Fundraiser If you have aluminum cans to recycle, there is a large basket at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. The money from the cans goes to the local Trail Life Group. They greatly appreciate your support.

Birth Announcement 

Congratulations to Ryan and Alicia Moerbe on the birth of Landry LaDonna on Nov. 11. Excited to welcome Landry home is her big sister, Makenzie.

Condolences 

Sympathy to the family and friends of Carolyn Buscha, who passed away on Nov. 10. Services were held Friday, Nov. 15 at Holy Cross in Warda.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Thanksgiving Eve worship service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The midweek morning Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Holy Cross is looking for instrumentalists to join them in playing for the children’s Christmas Eve program, or for any Sunday morning service. If you play a special instrument and would be interested in playing for a service, please contact the church office at (979) 242-3333.

GEMS Girls to Meet 

The GEMS girls (grades 5-12) will meet on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at Oakland Manor in Giddings to hand out the greeting card pumpkins they made, meet some of the residents and have a short devotion and singing time with them.
