Everlasting Gratitude

Joe Cockrell rings the bell during the Post Everlasting Ceremony at the The Flatonia American Legion Memorial Day service held on Sunday. The Post Everlasting Ceremony memorializes those killed in combat during World War I, World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War and conflicts thereafter. Flatonia once named all the names of fallen in each war from the area, but due to the length of that part of the service, they cut it down to those who have fallen in the last year.
