If you’d like to be a part of the library’s 20th annual Chili Cook-Off on Jan. 19, now is the time to enter. Fill out the application online at ilovetoread.org, or pick up an application at the library.

WinterAntique & Design Show Round Top’s Winter Antique & Design Show is coming up in just a few weeks. Over the past few years, this winter show has steadily grown in popularity, and this year will be no different. Over 20 seasonal vendors, as well as the well-loved yearround businesses, will be open for business, ready to satisfy shoppers. The Winter Show opens Thursday, Jan. 23, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 26. For a list of participating vendors in Round Top and beyond, visit roundtop.com. Festival Hill

Saturday, Jan. 18 the Chamber Music Trio returns to Festival Hill with Chavdar Parashkevov on violin, Louis-Marie Fardet on cello, and Viktor Valkov on piano. Preconcert lunch is available with reservations.

Round Top Rifle Hall The much-loved Hamburger Social will return Monday, Jan. 6.

Historical Society 

Come and tour the museum campus. The RTAHS museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. The campus includes three historical homes and a historical church. Private tours are welcome as well. For information on these, or anything with the Historical Society, call (979) 249-5058.

Town Council 

Regular Council Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall (100 Main Street) unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on townofroundtoptexas. org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time. Public posting sites are the message board outside the Town Office, located at 202 North Live Oak Street.

Church News 

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. The next Mass will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m.

RoundTop Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m.

St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
