Emerging Artists Award Winners Announced
ARTS for Rural Texas opened its annual Emerging Artists Competition and Exhibition on Aug. 6 at the ARTS Ross Gallery in Fayetteville. Over 70 entries by 48 youth from across south east and south central Texas participated in this year’s competition. Participants are students in sixth through twelfth grades who work in media as diverse as crochet to painting to clay and woodworking. All 72 entries will be on exhibit for public viewing until Saturday, Aug. 27, at the ARTS Ross Gallery located at 114 N. Live Oak St., Fayetteville. Many of the works are available for purchase. Awards are presented at each grade level. This year’s
