The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply held its annual meeting on April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ellinger Community Center Dining Hall.

Greg Hunger called the meeting to order with six board members present along with fourteen members/guests. Minutes from the previous year were presented and approved. An overview of the finances was also presented. There were no Operator’s or Engineer’s reports presented. It was noted that the filtration system is underway as well as underground tanks. It will probably be six months before construction of the filtration system begins; the hold up lies with the TWD board and TCEQ.

Since the three applicants for director were unopposed they will be installed to serve on the EWS Board for 2022, 2023, and 2024. The new members include Curtis Zwahr, Paula Urban, and Jeffrey James. Continuing to serve on the Board are Greg Hunger, Roy Moore, Bradley Dunk, and Michael Schlabach.

The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.
