Ellinger Chamber Holds Soup Fundraiser; Bingo this Weekend

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce held the annual Chicken Noodle Soup Fundraiser this past weekend. It was well attended.

Make plans to play Bingo on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the chamber hall. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, desserts will be for sale. A bingo dauber must be used and daubers are available for purchase. License number is 332386.

Shared Lutheran Ministry Sunday School will be held in Rutersville at St. John on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 3-5 p.m. All ages welcome.

St. John in Rutersville will have a Meet and Greet with the new Pastoral Candidate for Shared Lutheran Ministry. Soup will be served and the event will begin at 6 p.m. Come meet the new Pastor and family.

St. John in Ellinger will have the Noisy Offering Collection on Sunday at the 8 a.m. worship. This special collection is for the Discretionary Fund.

St. Paul in Fayetteville will host a pancake supper on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13. This event is open to the public and will benefit the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department. The dinner will be from 5:30-7 p.m. at the church, 201 N. Rusk in Fayetteville. All you can eat pancakes, sausages and beverages will be served.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Forum to be Held at Chamber 

The Fayette County Republican Party will host a forum at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall located at 104 W. Colorado Sky on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 1-4 p.m.

This free event will allow you to learn about the candidates in preparation for the March 5 primary election. Those are the panel will include County Attorney Candidates James Herbrich and Mark Elvig, County Constable Pct. 2 Candidates Roger Wunderlich and Kenneth King and Republican Party Chairman Candidates Deborah Frank and Michael Schlabach.
