The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce hosted a Halloween Costume Contest at the October Bingo event. The winners were as follows: Best Couple’s costume: 1st place winners and taking home $150 were Joey and Alyssa Smidovec.

Second place winners were Cecilia Smidovec and Leigh Hastedt taking home $75.

Individual winners: 1st place/$150-Mary Behal; 2nd place/$75-Matt Latham; 3rd place/$25-Carol Bigott; Group winners: 1st place(tied)/$225Kim Vanek, Sherry Moore, Mollie Pickett, Laurie Karisch, and Teresa Divin; 1st place (tied)/$225-Sam Macklin, Ginni Macklin, Samatha Macklin, Trish Kubena, and Karyn Kubena. Youth winners: best overall/$100-Mariah Torres; 1st place/$75-Bethany Knebel; 2nd place/$50-Carly Michalsky; and 3rd place/$25-Jerry Garcia. Joint Worship This Sunday The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County will be having a joint worship on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran in Fayetteville. Additionally, a joint worship has been scheduled for Christmas Day at 8:30 a.m. at St. John’s Warrenton and on Jan. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. John Rutersville. WELCAThank Offering Service A WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Thank Offering Service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20 at St. John Rutersville, St. John’s Warrenton, and St. Paul Fayetteville at regular worship times. St. John Ellinger will hold a traditional service on this day. Rutersville and Warrenton will hold Congregational meetings following worship. Rutersville will also have council elections.

Fayetteville Brethren Church Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

SetYour Clocks Back Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 6. Remember to set your clocks back one hour when you go to bed Saturday evening so that you won’t be late anywhere on Sunday.

Ellinger Sewer and Water The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corporation will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.
