Egg Hunt This Saturday in Fayetteville

Kids aged up to 12 years old will enjoy candy-filled eggs and a visit from the Easter Bunny at a fun-filled easter egg hunt this Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. on the square. The City of Fayetteville invites everyone to hop by and join in. Bring a basket for collecting. For more information, text Sue Patterson at (714) 299-0281.

Good Friday Closure 

The City offices will be closed on Friday, March 29 in observance of Good Friday.

Music Series 

Please join Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Jamie Moreau, and her staff next Tuesday, March 26 from 5 till 8 p.m. at 109 N. Washington in the square. Everyone is invited out for an evening of community and music, in partnership with the Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series. Light refreshments will be served. After chatting with the JP and her staff, bring a chair and stroll over to the courthouse to listen to live music from 6 until 8 p.m.

Don’t miss the last concert of the biannual Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series held next Tuesday, March 26, featuring Alex Meixner. ARTS is presenting this free concert series to promote live music and raise funds for the courthouse. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket, tips for the musicians, and a picnic dinner, or place a to-go order from one of the restaurants on the square.

Antiques Show 

Joe’s is open every night this month for the antique show. The Wine Bar at the hotel is open from 5 until 9 p.m. during the show.

The Vintage Rose Market is open through March 24 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily.

This Saturday is the last day to pick up some exceptional antiques from Antiques Off the Square at the historic SPJST Hall at 507 East Main St. In Fayetteville. Hours are from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Church News 

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The congregation will welcome their new pastor, Rev. Jen Kindsvatter during Easter service at 10:30 a.m. with an Easter egg hunt following worship. Pastor Jenn’s first Sunday services for Shared Lutheran Ministry will be at both Warrenton at 8:30 a.m. and Fayetteville at 10:30 a.m.

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Easter services will be held this Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. with Holy Communion.

Holy Week Mass schedule for St. John and St. Mary beginning March 28: St. John: Holy Thursday-6 p.m.; Good Friday Service-3 p.m.; Holy Saturday-8:30 p.m.; Easter Sunday-6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

St. Mary: Holy Thursday -4 p.m.; Good Friday Service -6:30 p.m.; Holy Saturday- 8:30 p.m.; Easter Sunday -8 a.m.
