3D Artwork on 955
The barn on the property of Ernest and Jane Frugé off of FM 955 displays 3D artwork painted by LIFEWTR, a premium water manufacturing company that supports expression through art. “A few years ago, the company was encouraging art in schools around here and asked us if we would let them paint artwork on our barn. Later, they came back and said they would remove the piece but we got attached to it and wanted it to remain” explained Jane.
“The hand with the paintbrush is about two feet wide. You see smoke and the Twin Towers falling. The colors purple and red are in front. There’s an eagle’s wing, and to me, that represents America. The artist was communicating a kind of reconstruction or restoration. That’s my interpretation.”
Bluegrass enthusiasts will be pickin’ again this Saturday, July 9. All levels of pickers are welcome to continue the tradition of live, acoustic bluegrass jamming in the town square. Play begins between 2-3 p.m. For more information on Fayetteville Picking Park, go to https://www.facebook.com/ groups/100734977031117.
