The East Parker Road Neighborhood gathered for a Fall Get Together to celebrate the upcoming seasons and to gather fall/winter warm clothing. Everyone brought a little something to share along with a warm donation. A collection of warm coats, gloves, hats and clothing for the women who come through the doors of the Children’s Advocacy Center. These warm clothes will go into the Holly Jolly Collection Drive. It is a great way to bless those who are struggling to stay warm when the north winds start to really blow.

Everyone had a great time snacking and visiting about all the neighborhood happenings and catching up on what everyone has been doing since they got to visit last. It was a great way to start off the Thanksgiving season reflecting on how blessed everyone is to live in the Muldoon area.

Cowboy Thanksgiving The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church held their Thanksgiving service and meal on Wednesday night hosted by the SG2C youth.

It was a well-attended event with everyone getting to enjoy a wonderful meal and some delicious desserts and the fellowship over the food was fantastic. This has been a very thankful year for SG2C with all their growth and outreach that they have worked on all year. This just sets them up for an even better year to come.

Church News

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church elected a new Elder, Michael Crisler to join the ranks with Nusbaum and Tommy Swenson to provide ac-spiritual leadership and accountability to the church in accordance with the scripture.

The Rope youth will be meeting 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Area youth ages 13-18 years of age are invited to come out and see what all is going on with this growing group of Christian youth who are on fire for God. They have a meal at 6 p.m. and start learning and having fun after that.

SG2C meets every Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m. with some coffee and doughnuts or something sweet to start Sunday mornings off right. Then following the fellowship, worship services begin at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to come out and see what is going on at this warm God centered church. They strive to welcome all who want to come and learn more.

Weather

Muldoon is getting very dry. There has been some dew in the mornings, but no real measurable rainfall recently. Please be very careful while out in what is left of the grass and dry brush. A small spark can start a big fire with so much dry fuel.

Several Residents Ill

There have been several who have been ill with seasonal allergies and sinus issues, along with others who are recovering from the flu. Be sure and check on your neighbors and make sure they are doing ok, especially your senior aged neighbors. This is a great chance to reach out and let them know you are willing to help them out and maybe pick up some groceries or maybe help them run an errand.

Little Lending Library Just a reminder that the Little Lending Library is available. The selection changes all the time and you can borrow a book or leave a book for someone else. This is a great little treasure we have available. Take advantage and enjoy a few quiet minutes to enjoy a book each day.

Neighborhood Watch

As the holidays approach, there will be a lot of people who are out and about. Please let your neighbors know when they need to keep an eye on your place and do the same for them. If we all work together as a small community that is growing fast, we can keep Muldoon a safe place.

If you see an odd vehicle or something out of place, be sure and give that neighbor a call to make sure all is as it should be.

Just a quick call can make a big difference.
