Daniels Leaves Record After Nearly 16 Years

After nearly 16 years as Classified Manager at The Fayette County Record, Jackie Daniels’ final day at the newspaper was Thursday as she accepted a job with Capital One. Under Daniels’ direction, the Record’s classified section was more robust than almost any newspaper in this part of the state. Shown above is Daniels with a cake and gift at her going-away party, small tokens from her coworkers for such great work for so long. Daniels was also very active in the local community, as part of the Tejas Clinic board of directors and the Chairman of the La Grange Housing Authority. Current Record staffer Amanda Gifford is assuming Daniels’ role. Photo by Jeff Wick
