The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is gearing up for the Thanksgiving season. The ROPE’s Thanksgiving Dinner is on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Everyone is invited to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share at 6:30 p.m. They will be gathering to give thanks for all this past year has given them and will praise the Lord for all the blessings.

The ROPE youth group will be meeting once again on Nov. 20 prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.Any area youth ages 13-18 are invited to come and check it out. It is a great way to connect with other youth and to learn more about the Bible. The ROPE program is a great asset to the community, giving them a way to not only connect with other youth, but also to help them form a solid Christian base for their lives.

The SG2C meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and fellowship, great chance to meet some neighbors. At 10 a.m. regular Worship Service begins. Everyone is welcome to come out and see what this growing, loving church is doing and here the message from the Bible.

Wedding

Devon Boehnke’s granddaughter Joy Field was married to Jimmy Flacker on Saturday, Nov. 2, with a large portion of Muldoon in attendance. Along with Devon, coming in from the Muldoon area were Erica Field, Dana and Darrell Kulak, Harold Boehnke, Kim and Tony Miori, and James and Joan Ivy, who all drove out to Sheppard to the wedding venue. It was a rainy wedding, but very beautiful. The ceremony was officiated by Joy’s uncle Darrell Kulak making the service all the more special to the entire family.

Great Grandbaby

Nancie and Billy Blair are once again very proud great grandparents, their granddaughter Valarie Schick and Justin Simpson welcomed Luke Barrie Simpson into the world on Nov. 5. Proud grandma, Heather Tillerson and grandparents Nancie and Billly Blair took off to see the newest addition to the family in Katy. Luke weighted in at a healthy 7 pounds 9 ounces and measured 21 ½ inches long. Nancie and Billy are looking forward to a visit from this precious new great grandson in the future.

Rain

Muldoon was finally blessed with some rain this past week. Depending on where you were, around a half inch fell. This was some much-needed moisture. All of the rain soaked in and the temperatures have been much milder. Everyone is looking forward to the next rain instalment to help relieve the drought in the area.

Even with the rain there is still a high fire danger. There is still a lot of drought and dry fuels that can burn, so please continue to be aware and use caution when out on machinery. Neighborhood Watch

Muldoon is a small community, and we all have to watch out for each other. If you see something odd or out of place, call that neighbor. Everything might be good, but it also could be something is not. We have to all pull together to keep Muldoon safe. And visiting with your neighbor is always a good thing.

Checking in on an elderly neighbor is also a good thing. Make sure they are ok and do not need some kind of help. This little bit of kindness goes a long way for those who cannot get out and about like they used to be able to do.
