Cowboy Church Special Worship Service March 30 M ULDOON News
Sunday, March 30 is fast approaching, and The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church wants to be sure the community knows everyone is invited to come out and enjoy some wonderful music in the form of award-winning Christine Scott. Worship service will begin at 10 a.m., but everyone is invited to come a little early at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts along with some old fashion fellowshipping.
Following the morning worship service on March 30 the SG2C will be hosting “Sunday Vittles” in the form of a pot luck meal. Bring along your favorite dish to share and come enjoy a day with some fun people. This is great time to check out this upand- coming little church who is thriving in the Muldoon community.
Wild Winds
Muldoon has seen some wild winds this week with a front coming through. High winds brought lots of west Texas dust and there was a haze all over the area. Those who suffered from respiratory issues did have some issues with the air quality.
Over the area there was some minor damage to some property. There were lots of limbs that were blown down and anything that was not tied down or heavy enough was blown around. Strong gusts were hard to walk in at times.
Out and About
Kathy Chlumsky went to Austin to visit her grandkids, Marcus and Olivia, while their mom made a trip to the Houston Rodeo. Before heading back home she was able to enjoy a lunch with her daughter, Summer. While in Austin it was tough seeing downtown Austin due to all the dust in the air, and the high winds made it a white-knuckle drive home to Muldoon.
John and Debra Schwartzenburg enjoyed a visit from their daughter and son in law, Michelle and Tommy Mitchell and their kids Addie and Ollie of Fort Collins, Colorado. The Mitchells enjoyed touring the Blue Bell Factory with Debra and John. They also got cousin Bobby Ivy to show them around some fire trucks too, which both Addie and Ollie thought was really cool.
Roberta Gullick enjoyed birthday celebrations for her great granddaughter Lillah Hill who turned 9 and her bonus granddaughter Preslee Castro who turned 12. The party was held at Roberta’s daughter, Krispin and Mike’s home. Everyone feasted on BBQ ribs, sausage and all the fixings. The birthday cakes were made with cupcakes, one making the number 12 and the other in the shape of a cat’s face. Everyone had a blast celebrating these two young ladies.
Jennifer and Clay Rightmer enjoyed a weekend visit from their daughter Lane Rightmer from Waco and Jennifer’s sister Julie Zavala from Georgetown. Lane and Julie both enjoyed some country time relaxing and catching up with family.
Another family birthday had Ron and Pam Knotts on the road again to Lantana. Grandson Troy Knotts was celebrating his sixth birthday and a variety of events were planned. The first on Friday night was a pizza party with pepperoni high on the list. On Saturday the gang tried out a variety of games and toys Troy received as birthday presents. After a late lunch at a local Mexican restaurant everyone headed to Trinity Forest Adventure Park south of Dallas for a walk in the woods. Actually, it was a multi-sensory immersive experience as the group followed the lighted trail to a series of encounters telling the story of stars. The show is called Astra Lumina full of sights and sounds and projections. It was an amazing and emotional experience and topped off a great family celebration. Have News?
