Cowboy Church Planning Fall Roundup
Rain
Muldoon was blessed with rain this past week. The last full week in August saw over three inches fall in the area. This was a wonderful event with the temperatures dropping into the seventies and cool breezes blowing. The temps rose again, but only into the lower nineties for highs. Mornings have been very pleasant in the lower seventies.
The rain has brought on lots of green grass and is a welcomed by all those who raise cattle in the area. Most of the rain has absorbed in the ground with very little run off. The rain was heavy at times, but it was a much welcomed sight with the ground starting to dry out and cracks were forming.
Church News
The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is proud to announce they now have a website www.straygatheringcowboychurch. com that now offers a way to contact the church and see what all is going on. Take time and go check out this newest form of communication for the SG2C. This is a nice addition to keeping up with the church outside of their Facebook page.

Other plans for the Fall Roundup include all kinds of games are coming together. Everything from a dessert walk, to a dummy roping with great prizes. The dessert walk will have some homemade cakes and pies for prizes. Pony rides will be available for the kids along with all kinds of games, including a fun photo booth. There also will be food available in the form of cowboy stew, green pork, chili, cornbread and biscuits. There will be a silent auction, they are gathering items now for this fun event and so much more. For more information contact Chris Levition at (979) 7020715 or come to church on any Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m. for fellowship with the worship service at 10 a.m.
Out and About
Jennifer and Clay Rightmer had a full house over the weekend. Son Reed Rightmer came in from Houston for some time in the country along with his sister Lane Rightmer who drove in from Waco. Joining in the family gathering was Jennifer’s sister, Julie Zavala of Georgetown.
Devon Boehnke, Dana and Darrell Kulak and Erica Field enjoyed having Erica’s parents, Beth and Jack Field come in from Magnolia to visit. It was a busy time as the group did lots of work around the ranch working cattle.
School Started
The area schools have started and that means that school buses are once again making their rounds. While traveling in the early mornings or the afternoons, please be sure and pay attention and stop for all the buses that are loading and unloading. Also be watching for kids standing by the roadway waiting for their ride to school.
