Cowboy Church Offers Wednesday Program for Teens
Sundays are not the only days that Stray Gathering Cowboy Church comes alive. On Wednesday nights it comes alive with lots of teenagers from all over the area for the ROPE (Rely On Prayer Everyday) program. It starts at 6 p.m. with a meal for the kids then a lot of fun and supportive ways they are teaching our upcoming adults the Bible for them to apply as they grow and mature in their faith.
Area youth ages 13-18 years old are invited to come out on any Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. and see what all the excitement is all about. This group has been growing and expanding since they began just a year ago. Drop in on a Wednesday evening and see what all the excitement is all about.
SG2C is also growing and expanding on Sunday mornings. They have a coffee and doughnuts fellowship at 9:30 a.m., so come out get your caffeine and sugar fix before you get your Bible fix. Worship services begin at 10 a.m. with wonderful music and then a blessed message brought by Pastor Butch Murphy. If you are looking for a place to worship or just curious what it’s all about, just attend a Sunday morning service.
Coming up this spring the SG2C is planning on a Spring Round Up on the 4th Saturday of March. Lots of activities for both kids and adults are in the works. Mark your calendars now for March 23 for this exciting event. More details will be coming as plans firm up, so save the date.
Grandsons Compete
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky are very proud of their grandsons, Connor and Hunter Dong who competed in the Jiu Jitsu World League Competition at the NRG Stadium in Houston on Saturday, Jan. 27.
Both boys did exceptionally well in the “Gi” competition. Hunter and Connor both won silver. In the “no Gi” they both won gold. Kathy and Frank are really proud of the boys, especially with all the training and hard work they invested in the sport.
Out and About
I spent the last week of January with my friends Alayna and Dave Kidd at the Houston Boat and Auto Show at the NRG Center. We had a booth in the boat show selling their Sterling Silver jewelry. It was a fun time with old friends and meeting a lot of new people from all over the world and a number of old clients from years past.
Debra and John Schwartzenburg enjoyed a visit from Debra’s sister, Julia Speed. Julia drove in from Houston. It was a fun time visiting and laughing remembering old times.
Nancie and Billy Blair recently enjoyed a house full of company. Grandson Kelley came in from Houston and smoked all kinds of meats including, pulled pork, chicken, turkey wings and more. Also in was their daughter Heather and their granddaughter Valarie, her daughter Cadence and Valarie’s boyfriend Justin and his three children. They celebrated Justin’s birthday with a fire and making smores.
Weather
Muldoon has seen some gorgeous weather after all the flooding rain. Sunshine with temperatures in the 70s followed up all the moisture of the previous week. There still are lots of repairs going on for those who had fences washed up on or even washed out, but the tanks are full and the ground is starting to green up with all the sunshine.
