Birthday Celebrations
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky took on the I-10 gauntlet to travel to Katy for their grandson Hunter Dong’s tenth birthday. The birthday party was held at Main Event and it served as a mini family reunion as several other family members were able to attend with lots of food, family and fun.
Nancie and Bille Blair were thrilled to have Tyler Blaha bring their great grandson, Carson Blaha out to celebrate Carson’s ninth birthday. Carson brought out his 4-wheeler and enjoyed riding it around the property. He also enjoyed some fishing in the tank while hamburgers were grilled in celebration of his birthday and finished it all off with an Oreo birthday cake. Also joining in on the celebration were Carson’s mom Valarie Schick and his grandmother Heather Tillerson for a wonderful fun day.
Out and About
Ron and Pam Knotts recently took a break from the heat and headed to San Antonio to see the Cirque du Soleil show “Songblazers.” The cast is based in Nashville and country music is the theme. Ron and Pam saw the program advertised there on their last visit to Nashville, but did not get to see them at that time. It featured amazing acrobatics and dancing and live music. There were Many featured singers with great voices and lots of comedy. Every act was part of the greater story line, and the action was nonstop. Ron and Pam love the Majestic Theater and try to see shows several times a year. This show was spectacular.
To add to all the fun, before the show Ron was picked to be part of the “talent show” preview and went on stage to do a chicken imitation. As they were getting ready to go on stage, he recognized the young woman helping set up as one of the performers he follows on TikTok. What a kick.
Debra and John Schwartzenburg recently went to Fort Collins, Colorado. They traveled up thru the Rocky Mountains to Estes Park, Colorado, but hit a little problem with their planned route due to recent forest fires. They found an alternative route via some locals and finally made it to Fort Collins to celebrate their daughter Michelle Mitchell’s birthday. They got to celebrate with the grandkids Addie and Ollie along with son in law Tommy. They enjoyed getting to go to church with everyone at Mill City Church and then touring the flower gardens on display by Colorado State University.
Weather
Muldoon has been hot and dry for the past few weeks. Temperatures have been soaring over the one-hundreddegree mark, making it hard to do anything outdoors in the afternoons. Even in the mornings if you are not out very early it is very hot and humid. Please be careful in these conditions. Drink lots of water and keep in the shade as much as possible while outside. If you can stay indoors in the air-conditioning and check on your elderly neighbors to make sure they are staying cool.
