Constitution Week Proclaimed

Fayette County Commissioners signed a proclamation designating the week of Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week in Fayette County. Kathy Shatte and Sarah Jo Oeltjen-Marrou of the Smith McMillan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) were on hand for the signing. Schatte said the local DAR chapter will hold a bell-ringing ceremony at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17 on the Courthouse Square to mark the day and time in 1787 when the Founders signed the U.S. Constitution.
