Colorado Valley Quilt Guild Gives Quilts to the Texas Quilt Museum
Deborah Bradley from the Texas Quilt Museum asked the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild if they could make a couple of Storytime Books with accompanying quilt’s for the Museum’s Storytime Saturday’s.
Sandy Courrier quilted a beautiful quilt piece to accompany a children’s book called “Cheepy and Grandma Mare.” Brigitte Wittmann Mesecke quilted a picture out of the book “Dream Snow.” Both books will be thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend the “Storytime” events at the Texas Quilt Museum.
Every Saturday at 3 p.m., the Museum hosts a free Museum admission for children and their families. Texas Quilt Museum is at 140 W. Colorado St. in La Grange.
The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl Street, Room A East, La Grange. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. Meetings are always open to the public, so grab a friend and come learn more about this wonderful service organization right here in La Grange.
