Colorado Valley Communications (CVCTX), is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Rural Scholarship Fund awards. A total of $65,000 has been awarded to thirteen outstanding graduating seniors from across area high schools. Each student will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education or trade school.
For nearly three decades, CVCTX has remained deeply committed to supporting education and strengthening rural communities. Since the program’s inception in 1996, the Cooperative has helped hundreds of students pursue their academic and career goals.
In 2026, CVCTX continues that mission by recognizing both traditional collegebound students and those pursuing skilled trades—reflecting the Cooperative’s belief that every path to success deserves support.
“Investing in our students is investing in the future of our communities,” said General Manager Kelly Allison. “Whether these students are heading to a university or entering the workforce through a trade, we are proud to stand behind them and support their next chapter.”

Weimar High School Alazay Moreno In 2026, CVCTX is especially proud to introduce trade school scholarships for the first time, expanding the program to better reflect the diverse career paths of today’s students. This new addition underscores the Cooperative’s commitment to supporting workforce development and recognizing the critical role skilled trades play in strengthening rural communities. We are especially excited to award three deserving students with trade school scholarships in this inaugural year of the program. These students represent the next generation of skilled professionals, and we are proud to support their pursuit of handson careers that are vital to our communities.

This ongoing investment reflects CVCTX’s mission of being more than a broadband provider—it’s about being a true community partner, dedicated to education, opportunity, and the long-term success of the region.
“We are incredibly proud of this year’s recipients,” Allison added. “Their hard work, dedication, and ambition represent the very best of our communities.”
