Water Meters Effective November 1
The City of Carmine has determined it necessary to establish a requirement that the city assume the responsibility to read all water meters, effective Nov. 1, 2024. The $2 meter reading fee will now be applied to all customers.
In addition, the city is requiring each water customer to maintain the area around his or her water meter. It must be kept clear of vegetation or obstruction of any kind, to allow the city to access the meter.
Penalties may be imposed for those not in compliance. Ordinance #78-2024, regarding these matters, may be reviewed online at cityofcarmine. com or in person at City Hall, 260 Luther LN, Carmine, TX 78932.
